Kenneth's Story

Life Often headlined as Renaissance Man, Kenneth Del Vecchio has been the subject of hundreds of national magazine and newspaper articles. He has been called Jack of All Trades, Master of All, The Triple Threat: Attorney, Author, Filmmaker and The Next John Grisham by print and television media. Kenneth Del Vecchio is the author of a number of top-selling criminal law books, a published fictional novelist, the owner of a criminal law learning center, an attorney who has tried over 400 cases, the founder of New Jersey’s largest film festival…and a critically acclaimed filmmaker and actor. He is also an executive at a prominent movie studio. In 1995, Kenneth Del Vecchio became one of the youngest attorneys in state history to try and win a criminal jury trial when he successfully defended a wrongfully accused man against firearms charges in Newark, New Jersey. A year later, Mr. Del Vecchio had his first fiction novel published and toured the East Coast on a book-signing tour. After a successful freshman novel publication, Mr. Del Vecchio expanded to filmmaking in 1998. Since then, he has written, directed and produced five feature films that star multiple Academy Award and Emmy winners and nominees. These critically acclaimed films also feature Mr. Del Vecchio in lead and supporting acting roles. During all this time, he has handled thousands of criminal cases, serving as both a defense attorney and prosecutor. riminal law books authored by Mr. Del Vecchio: New York Code of Criminal Justice: A Practical Guide and Code of Criminal Justice: A Practical Guide to the Penal Statutes, which is the national version of Mr. Del Vecchio’s criminal codebook. As founder and chairman of the Hoboken International Film & Screenplay Festival, Mr. Del Vecchio has established the largest film festival ever to hit New Jersey. The festival, held in New Jersey’s artistic capital, features a celebrity jury with cash prizes being awarded to the winning filmmakers and writers. Serving as Director of Acquisitions/East Coast for Echelon Studios, Mr. Del Vecchio acquires movies for this entertainment giant, heading their New York City office. Echelon distributes films in all media, domestically and in nearly 150 countries around the world. As a critically acclaimed filmmaker himself, Kenneth Del Vecchio has created films that primarily focusing on matters of criminal law. His slate of films include: Pride & Loyalty, The Drum Beats Twice, Tinsel Town, Rules For Men and Forget About It. His criminal suspense novels are Revelation in the Wilderness and Pride & Loyalty. In addition to his film and writing projects, Mr. Del Vecchio is currently the Prosecutor of the Borough of Bogota and formerly served as the Prosecutor for the Borough of Hawthorne and the City of Clifton. He maintains a criminal defense practice and is a member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bars. Several times a year, Mr. Del Vecchio, via his criminal law learning center, instructs intensive seminars for police officers and attorneys throughout the State of New Jersey and surrounding states.
